Assignment : Organic shapes, trace and colour

I traced organic shapes everywhere like for example something that has been squashed or uneven table surfaces then I redraw it on an A2 size paper than use masking fluid to make the outline and than just color it. I did 2 layers, one layer with lighter colour another one with a darker tone .

Next, I used the organic shapes that I have traced to continue with spray and stencils effect.

Assignment : Shapes,trace and then spray or paint

This is an interesting art that I found there is alot and alot to improve. This artwork contain the concept of grafitti and it is fun when you see how the colours and the layering of the shapes.

This one I tried on different suface of paper and the outcome is quite nice. I used gold and white spray for this artwork.

Assignment : Black squares fold and moves

Fold it and paste it.Make use of different kind of shape and learn about spaces and contrast.

 Later on, we were ask to trace our shapes and than draw it on an A2 paper. By using masking fluid as the outline, we need to colour the shape with a really dilute water colour then apply the second layer of water colour. And now you can see how it works.So basically, we learn about the sense of things overlapping together and also it creates a kind of printing artwork. Through this process, I have learnt how to use masking fluid and also how to  control the intensity of the water colour.

 The green and blue shapes are all my first try.Later on when i figure out the right way to do it,I use violet as the main colour.

Assignment : Non-verbal Communication

Non-verbal communications include facial expressions, the tone and pitch of the voice, gestures displayed through body language and the physical distance between the communicators.Here are a few examples of non-verbal communication that usually we use in our daily life.

Assignment : Black squares,cut and moves

 

We were required to cut 50 small squares with the measurement of 4cm x 4cm.

What we had to do are either horizontal, vertical or a diagonal cut and move the pieces to a new shape.

The most important things that we have learned is to make use of space and be craetive.

2D design - Week 2

Assessment 1 - Unconventional self-potrait

We were asked to sketch our own self potrait in different ways depends on our own ideas and thoughts such as collage,painting or even paper cutting to come out with an unconventional self potrait.

I have did some research about unconventional potrait and these are the few art work that i found quite interesting.

Typography

This artwork create some kind of illusions.

This artwork reminds me about the lifestyle that I've always want.Free,relax and colourful.

This picture show a reflection on a human.

I like this artwork because of the way the artist uses lines and colour to create such a beautiful potrait.

These few artwork created a sense of dreamy and free flow for me. So I decided to come out with some drafts.

What is your first impression of me?
I interviewed 3 of my friends about their first impression of me.I found that it is quite interesting because different people have different feeling about me since first we met.
