Garis - Putra Mosque,Putrajaya

Final project - Short Video
Theme - Garis

We decided the location to be Putra Mosque , Putrajaya. Putra Mosque is arguably Putrajaya's most distinctive landmark and one of the most modern mosques in the world. A showcase of how mosque designs have evolved in Malaysia, Putra Mosque's Islamic-architecture artistically blends traditional designs, local craftsmanship and the use of indigenous materials. The mosque is constructed in rose-tinted granite which gives its desert-pink hue that offsets the cengal woodwork on doors, windows and panels. The Prayer Hall is simple and elegant and supported by 12 columns that prop up the 36-metre diameter main dome. Throughout this project, I have understand more in depth about the relationship between architecture and culture. The visiting the mosque and get to explore every corner of the interior inside is the most precious experience that I had during the shooting. There are a few shots that need to be taken from the upper floor of the mosque which is men is not allowed to enter, I handled it myself which I tried several angles of views to take the perfect shot we want. Our team are cooperative, we came out with the idea of showing people lines through the journey of going to the mosque. Therefore, in the video we started with the scene when we were entering Putrajaya then into the mosque after that ended up going back. Well, after this project I understand that in order to take a good picture or video, you need patience and passion. Sometimes , one angle of photos at different time and circumstances, you will have different point of view to the image taken.
